Reporting a bug
Including the following details makes a bug easier to reproduce and fix:
- What you were doing when the problem occurred (which controls, which buttons).
- What you expected, and what happened instead.
- Browser and version (e.g. Chrome 124 on Windows 11).
- The full URL when the problem occurred — including any
?slugafter the domain. - Any error text from the browser console (Ctrl/Cmd-Shift-J in most browsers).
Suggesting a feature
Useful suggestions tend to describe the underlying need rather than a specific UI: what you were trying to do, what got in the way, and where you ended up. Reference images or links to existing examples are helpful but not required.

Are the generated backgrounds free to use commercially?
Yes. Backgrounds rendered by the tool can be used for personal and commercial work. There is no attribution requirement, though a link back is always welcome.
Why does the same URL show different tiles each time?
A slug like

There are no accounts. Bookmark the URL of a result you like, or download the PNG and the CSS — both contain enough information to reproduce the look later.
What's the maximum export size?
3840×2160 (4K UHD) at up to 4× quality. The export resolution guide walks through which size to pick.
The tool isn't loading in my browser. What now?
The generator runs entirely in the browser and uses HTML5 canvas. Modern Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge are supported. If a tile is blank, try a hard refresh, disable browser extensions that block scripts, or update the browser to a recent version.
Is there a public API?
No. The tool is intentionally a single-page browser utility. Slug-based URLs already give a deterministic starting point for sharing.
